How To Avoid Negative Thinking
In order for you to remain in flow all the time, in order for you to achieve the health levels you desire daily, you must be able to convert negative thoughts into positive thoughts. Attitude is everything. A bad attitude does not come by chance - it is constructed by negative thoughts and emotions. Negative emotions are always harmful. They serve no useful purpose. They poison and acidify the body. Negative emotions are the primary reason why people fail to achieve the highest levels of material and spiritual success. Feelings of doubt and fear always lead to failure. If you experience negative emotions in your life, let them flow through you rather than bottle them within you. You can dispel negative emotions physically by hitting, kicking, yellow, and or biting. Dispel anger by driving a golfball, kicking a football, screaming aloud, and or chewing dark green-leafy vegetables. Let the anger pass through you into the physical object. Transmute anger into positive action. You can...
For some of you, this is a no-brainer. But for many of you, there will be roadblocks on your way to diet success, for certain. If you try to diet before you're TRULY committed and motivated, you will have the most difficult time reaching your goals. You're still WISHING positive, but THINKING negative. For example, I want to lose weight (wishing positive) BUT I don't know if I can do it (thinking negative).
If some doses of caffeine produce positive and others negative moods, one obvious issue is the dosage at which the change takes place. Lieberman (1992) suggested that positive effects appear to occur up to about 300 mg, then negative effects above that. This estimate of the peak of the inverted-U function would appear to be quite reasonable for the average study participant. However, other research points to substantial individual differences in caffeine sensitivity (Silverman and Griffiths, 1992 Mumford et al., 1994) and therefore in the response to a given dose of the drug. One study, for example, showed that subjects who chose to receive a high dose of caffeine reported an increase in positive affect, whereas those who chose not to receive the caffeine reported negative mood changes when the drug was administered (Stern et al., 1989). Anecdotally, participants in our laboratory occasionally refuse consent because they believe they are highly sensitive to caffeine. These individual...
To relax, quell anger, or overcome depression or loneliness, mood-triggered eating may feel good-at first. But eating to cope with emotions can lead to more negative feelings (guilt, lack of personal control, and poor self-esteem) and perhaps to a cycle of mood-triggered eating. Any excessive calorie intake can promote weight gain. Just as important, using food to satisfy emotions may distract you from handling serious issues in your life.
There is magic - and it's YOU. It's about how badly you want it, what you're willing to do, how you're going to live your life, to get it, overcoming obstacles. Keep firmly planted in your mind that YOU ARE GREATER THAN ANYTHING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU.
At this point you might be asking, What are these obstacles What stuff am I tolerating that's holding me back Some obstacles include doubt, fear, guilt, resentment, and thoughts of limitation. They include any negative ideas, and they block the flow of creative energy to and through you.
Exhausting talks, discussions, and distractions (TV, radio, reading) burden stomach and spleen, which are especially sensitive to emotional tensions such as brooding, worries, anger, and fear. Negative emotions block and weaken the qi of digestive organs, resulting in loss of appetite, bloating, regurgitation, and stomach pain. It turned my stomach It ruined my appetite The news made me choke on my food are popular ways of describing this all too common situation. Continuous exposure of the stomach spleen network to emotional stress can cause serious eating disorders and digestive problems such as obesity, bulimia, anorexia, or gastric ulcers.
The second reason for a vegetarian ideal from a sacred life perspective centers on the sentience of lower creatures. If the animal kingdom could experience emotion, particularly pain, suffering, fear, and deprivation, then causing such negative emotions would constitute a violation of that creature's life. This would be even more serious if death were to result.
A commitment to life-long learning is an essential part of health. Positive information is to the mind what Sunfood is to the body. A malnourished body cannot thrive. Neither can a malnourished mind. A body fed by the negative energy of fired foods becomes ill. A mind fed by negative energy and wrong thoughts becomes ill. A diet of raw food is necessary to health, but if the mind is not also given pure food, the body will suffer. A mind fed evil, unkind thoughts of destructive criticism, condemnation, hate, jealousy, fear, and doubt will reproduce such emotions in the physical body, leading to illness.
How do we treat this condition Basically we use a nutritional approach after the patient has undertaken a behavioral program with cognitive therapy. Cognitive therapy is important because the idea is to educate the person about their problems and to discuss with them how many false beliefs they have about who they are, why they think this way, why their body looks the way it does for them, and so forth. So false-belief modification is an important part of treatment.
You could also spend time during your detox to reflect on your beliefs and attitudes. This is a good time to clear out those that don't serve you well and replace them with a fresh view. Ask yourself if you make choices based on fear or courage. If your choices are based on fear, you are most likely creating toxins in your body. When your choices are based on courage, your body naturally creates the hormones that help you to feel happy and uplifted.
Put simply, you can't have an up without a down, hot without a cold, in without an out, or front without a back. Or a positive thought without a negative thought. Remember, your mind is POWERFUL if you think negative, that's exactly the kind of results you're going to get. Focus on what you have and what you can have, rather than what you don't. Sounds corny to some, BUT IT IS VERY EFFECTIVE. If a negative thought comes to mind, there HAS to be something positive about it, too. It's LAW. Besides, you'll be happier, less stressed, and healthier.
Caffeine consumption can result in either positive or negative mood changes, depending on the dose and possible other factors such as genetic predisposition (61). Subjects reported increased energy and a feeling of well-being after 75300 mg of caffeine, but increased anxiety and tension after 500 mg. Evans and Griffiths (62) showed that moods were related to the expectation of the subjects. Those who knew they were consuming caffeine reported positive mood effects. If the same amount was consumed unknowingly, negative moods were reported. In a comparison of theobromine and caffeine, Mumford et al. (63) found that caffeine, but not theobromine, produced changes in the group ratings of subjective effects, including increased well-being, energy and alertness.
Women should be screened for postpartum depression periodically during the first year after delivery. The standard practice of screening just one time during the early postpartum period (i.e., at 6 weeks postpartum) may not detect postpartum depression that develops later. Because a woman is adjusting well during the early postpartum period does not mean she will not develop postpartum depression sometime later during the first 12 months after birth. Without repeated screenings, a mother may fall through the cracks in the health care system. Prior to screening women for postpartum depression, health care providers need to dispel the idealized myths of motherhood and provide a trusting environment in which women can feel free to discuss any negative feelings or thoughts they may be experiencing.
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. It works to free the user of both physical and emotional pain and relieve chronic conditions by healing the physical responses our bodies make after we've been hurt or experienced pain. While some people do not carry the effects of these experiences, others have bodies that hold onto these memories, which affect the way the body works. Because it is a free and fast technique, even if you are not one hundred percent committed to whether it works or not, it is still worth giving it a shot and seeing if there is any improvement.
