Chin-ups are worked with all the same principles as the Dip.
Most people don't like doing chin-ups (and dips) because they are plain HARD-WORK. People would rather do exercises that are more comfortable or easier.
Don't be fooled, if you want results stick to the hard stuff.
There are a number of different ways to do chins. The best way for overall development is an under-hand shoulder width grip.
You will not be able to use as much weight with chins but all the other principles apply as for dips.
